I'm so glad you came to see what this is all about. The MS 150 is a 150 mile bicycle ride on Sept. 17th from St. Augustine to Daytona Beach in Florida. This is a major undertaking for Cindy and me. But we are really jazzed about it! We've been training for two weeks now, and as of today, July 21st, we've increased our average speed up to 13 mph. And that's for a 15 mile ride...when you think we'd be worn out! We're getting faster and we're getting more endurance, too. Less stopping, too!
Neither Cindy nor I have ever done anything like this before, so this is a first for us. We love being challenged and this feels like the right thing to do. We don't know anyone with MS, however, we have a family member with Parkinson's, and it falls into a similar category of diseases. This ride will help someone, one way or another and we're glad we can help make that happen.
Again, thank you for coming to this page to see what you've been hearing about from me. Pledges are important and your pledge shows that you, too believe in what I'm doing. Below is my "Personal Page" on the Multiple Sclerosis website, or you can click here to open it in a new window.
You can see our current progress in training here.
