Portfolio - Front End / Back End Development

Development Blog (and more) – This has recently become a place to post discoveries and more for the assistance of others as related to various online technologies and ColdFusion / SQL Development issues and more.

GreenBookUSA.com – A Florida based company offering super intensive directory services and extensive user and vendor services. This site was rebuilt completely from the ground up by myself and the direction of the partners. All database design (over 70 tables), all ColdFusion code was my design and implementation. The project's funding is in question at the moment, but contains over 500,000 lines of code and represents several months of my work. Complete with URL rewrites for search engine ease, complete CSS layout, complete backend administration system, complete-from-scratch fine-grained user security system, integration with Google Maps API and more.

Merrill Stevens – A Ft. Lauderdale based yacht sales and maintenance company. Beyond the intro you will find a complete databas of charter yachts, with multi-size images of each, complete descriptions. The site also supports three languages but at last check was only utilizing English. In addition to the charter database, there is a complete system for handling a Brokerage (sales) system, including heavy XML integration with an outside firm. I do not take credit for the design, only the functionality. (iChameleonGroup project.)

Lynxtel Communications (Dev) – A Florida based custom communications company. To the best of my knowledge the client has pulled the trigger on bringing this site live. This was a very quick project, but the true difficulty was in my learning the depth of CSS layout and applying it to the flat Photoshop designs provided by the design team. (iChameleonGroup project.)

Airwaves (by Wrigley) – This site is heavy Flash. But, as you may know, any good Flash site such as this requires an extensive backend. I was not involved in the development at the completion of this project, but the majority of the database and ColdFusion code that powers this site was my development and implementation. Complete use of ColdSpring and an MVC framework. (iChameleonGroup project.)

SchoolLocator.NET – This system focuses as a “blackbox” for school districts seeking to enable users to receive assigned schools for a particular address. The following three districts are examples, running on the same website instance:

Portfolio - Flash Examples

First off, please let me say, for the record, that I am not a Flash developer. I can get some basic things done in Flash, modify stuff, even put together the timeline for basic tweening events. But that hardcore ActionScript? Not yet. I have done some training time with Flex, so I do understand ActionScript, but have little to no practical experience with it.

That having been said, I did develop this little presentation quite a while back. It does the trick, and I'm quite proud of the work that went into it.

SchoolLocator.NET - Developed a Flash presentation, which was burned to mini CD's and mailed to all school districts in Texas.

[ I have developed other Flash presentations, however, the dot-com bubble burst has removed many sites (Flash and non-Flash) from the Internet. ]
